Meet Maisie, A soon to be senior st Bolivar High School

Study Setup: Describe your ideal studying setup. Where are you, what's around you, what are you using?

I don’t know… I like to have a movie on and sit on my couch. Not a music fan, it’s distracting.

Snack/Drink: What's your must-have study snack or drink?

I like coke zero and like to eat fruit.

Reading: What are you reading right now, or what's a book you always recommend?

Right now the queen of nothing, it’s the third book of the trilogy, but I recommend legend.

Planning: How do you plan your week in the way that works best for you?

It’s all in my head really. I don’t have a planner or anything. Unless I really have to remember things.

Routine That Works: What's your morning routine like before school?

Wake up and brush my teeth, do hair makeup and outfit and grab my bag and lunch and leave for school. Pretty simple.

Non-Negotiable Habit: What's a habit you need in your life to feel like you?

Reading, I loveee reading.

What do you do when you're stressed but still have to show up?

I push my stress down. I do not reccomend, but it’s what I do. I eventually pay for it later because it builds up.

What Are You Passionate About?

I love Jesus, but I am also passionate about singing.

What are you most excited about for Senior Year?

Graduating…lol. Other than that, I am super excited for Homecoming, I hope our senior float turns out good.

Current Song on Repeat?

I don't really have a single song I listen to. But even though everyone makes fun of him I love Benson Boone, so anything by him.

What Maisie's Senior Year Looks Like

Between football season, track, wrestling, choir, and student council, Maisie has a full year ahead, and she is honest that her go to move under pressure is to push the stress down until it catches up with her later. That is relatable, and it is also worth having a gentler backup plan for, whether that is naming what is actually on your plate when everything feels due at once or getting a little better at not spiraling when your brain will not slow down. Mostly though, she is looking forward to graduating, a good Homecoming, and a senior float that turns out great, which is a pretty good place to start the year.
